Pimplekar became CEO of Bio Clinton in July 2019 and brings more than 30 years of global industry leadership experience in life sciences, fine chemicals, and research chemicals to his new role at Bio Clinton. Most recently, he served as Head of Bioscience at Lonza. Previously, he had held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at Sigma Aldrich during his nearly 30 years there, including his role as Executive Vice President and President of the Sigma Aldrich Fine Chemicals Commercial Unit. Pimplekar earned a master’s degree in organic chemistry from the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon and the advanced management program from the Harvard Business School in Boston.

Farrier Lewis has been with Bio Clinton since its inception in 1998 and has been the Managing Director since March 2015. Lewis has been instrumental in building the Fine Chemicals & Pharmaceutical excipient business with a strong focus on organisational growth, expansion to new markets and building capabilities. He has a hands-on approach and closely oversees the Supply chain, Quality, Operations, IT and Sales functions. He holds a Management degree in International Business from the Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
President, Cascade
Esther joined Bio Clinton in May 2021 as part of its acquisition of Cascade Chemistry, a highly regarded manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), regulatory starting materials, and advanced intermediates located in Eugene, Oregon. Esther joined Cascade in 2004 as a synthetic chemist before acquiring the company in 2012 and becoming President. Under her leadership Cascade expanded its service offerings, growing from 6 employees to almost 50 process, analytical and quality chemists today; added laboratories and manufacturing suites, including a $14 million GMP API manufacturing facility now under construction; and increased revenues by 600%. Esther earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of Oregon.
President, A&C Chemical
Since 2003, George has been responsible for leading his team and driving the long-term value of the A&C group, focusing on financial and legal stewardship, strategy and execution. Prior to 2003, George was the chief financial officer of Quadra Chemical Group for 9 years. Member of Quadra’s six-person executive team, responsible for all financial and IT requirements including a leading role in strategic planning, corporate acquisitions and post-acquisition integration. He completed numerous acquisitions, mostly in turnaround situations, that helped build Quadra into of one of North America’s top 10 chemical distributors with revenues in excess of $250 million. After graduating from McGill University, George began his career as a CPA working for KPMG. He had been married for over 25 years with three kids.
President, Europe & Asia
Buchanan joined Bio Clinton in 2019 and is based in Lyon, France. Bio Clinton’s business unit teams in Germany, France and Netherlands report directly to Buchanan who also coordinates support functions ( HR, Finance, Logistics, Regulatory and IT ) in Europe. Buchanan has been consulting in the chemicals and life Science space over the past 3 years and spent over 20 years at Sigma Aldrich with increasing managerial responsibilities in sales, marketing and operations throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa including, most recently, VP of Sales & Marketing, EMEA. Buchanan has a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Clermont-Ferrand, France and an MBA from EM Business School, Lyon, France.
Chief Procurement Officer
Robert joined Bio Clinton in 2020 and is based in Texas, U.S.A and oversees Bio Clinton procurement organization including sourcing in India and China. He comes to Bio clinton with a varied background including Engineering, Marketing, Strategy, Procurement, Sales, and General business management for firms such as Cummins, ArvinMeritor and Actuant in both the US and India. Robert co-founded and directed Radeo Engineered Components immediately prior to joining Bio Clinton. Robert holds a BS in Bio-chemistry & Physics from Elon University and a master’s in Microbiology from North Carolina State University.
